Our programs target geographic areas that are identified by census statistics as having residents primarily at or below the poverty level and schools that serve students who are classified as economically disadvantaged, limited English proficiency, migratory or disabled (Title 1 – U.S. Dept. of Education). Working with families, school personnel and community partners, we make a difference by:
- Providing weekly opportunities for academic enrichment, character development, arts and sports activities;
- Mobilizing and training adult volunteers to be role models and mentors for at-risk youth;
- Educating families on healthy lifestyles through workshops and outreach events;
- Promoting community service through well managed volunteer events for adults and youth.
